Steven P. Iverson, President/CEO of Iverson Language Associates, Inc., attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, where he earned his BA in French and MA in French Literature. Steve was a TA in the French department at Marquette, and later accepted the position of instructor. In 1986, he left the classroom for the business world, and established Iverson Language Associates, Inc. His company was initially created to offer foreign language instruction to corporate clients. Due to increased demand for translation, the language instruction business was gradually phased out, and the company began to focus solely on managing document translation. Over the years Steve has become a recognized leader in his industry, helping to promote greater professionalism and industry standards. Steve is a board member of the World Trade Center Wisconsin, and a founding member of the Association of Language Companies (ALC). He serves as an advisor to several translation industry and international trade organizations. Steve is frequently called upon as a guest speaker on managing document translation and has authored numerous articles on computer assisted translation tools, techniques in translation, streamlining workflow and quality processes.
