11/4/2006 Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity: A New Opportunity for Community Involvement, Jeri Kavanaugh – Milwaukee Habitat ReStore Are you looking for a way to get involved in the Milwaukee community? The Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity has recently opened up the Habitat ReStore, a home improvement resale shop that supports its efforts in the local community. The Milwaukee Habitat builds 25-30 houses each year to provide low-income families of Milwaukee with the opportunity to own their own home. Jeri Kavanaugh, director of the Milwaukee Habitat ReStore, will be on air to discuss how Milwaukee businesses and residents are joining forces to support the Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity. The ReStore is a facility that accepts donations of new and slightly used building materials and then resells them to general public. All proceeds go to funding the projects of the Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity. Learn about how your business can contribute to the cause through donations, sponsorships and volunteers. |
